Let him know in subtle ways you like him. Stand close to him when you talk. Touch his arm when you talk. Smile at him. He will get the hint.
You might need to make the first move though sooner or later though. Some guys don't take to hints very well.

Don't ask him out just be friends until you feel comfortable asking him out or maybe u should just been friends so u don't mess up ur good friend ship
