Ladies, do you agree that we want to be proposed to traditionally, have the pretty wedding, and honeymoon? Or have things changed?

At some point in our lives, I believe all women dream of this. Some are young and in party mode and are no where close to settling down, but they still think of the beautiful wedding. Although some women are just not made to settle down, kinda like some guys! I never fantasized about a wedding when I was young or even once I was older. I always knew I wanted to be married though!

I totally agree! It's all about knowing that your man loves you so much that he would propose to you and willingly want to share a lifetime committment with you...having a wedding before family and friends showing your love can last forever... having a romantic get away somewhere just the 2 of you to make memories that last a lifetime... those are all changes a person wants to make when becoming a bride! It's the happily ever after that we look for and so I think that's why most women wants to be a bride!

I've been married for 5 yrs and so far we're still on our honeymoon! ;-)

No, I don't think every woman wants to be a bride with the whole down-on-one-knee proposal and the huge wedding. We may all want to be with someone but no necessarily in the old fashioned way. I was never one of those little girls who fantasized about my wedding or anything....I wanted a marriage - not a wedding. I think it is insane and foolish how much money people spend on weddings....it's one day and they are dropping tens of thousands of dollars. I'd rather have a modest wedding and put a down payment on a home, etc. And it doesn't seem like everyone is going on the elaborate honeymoons as much either.....times, they are a changin'.

YES! I think EVERY woman, at least at some point, craves that perfect romantic proposal and beautiful wedding where she gets to wear the perfect dress. Honeymoon, not so sure... I never really cared about that. These days people take alot of romantic getaway vacations.

I truly believe that times and "things" have changed. Many, many women don't like the idea of marriage anymore. And with the divorce rate, who can blame them? Many men and women would rather not be committed to anyone but themselves. But, for those of us who absolutely love the idea of sharing our experiences, our joys, and our lives with a partner and best friend and happily growing old together, marriage is a wonderful thing to look forward to! While I think that tradition works well for some, I personally think that whatever makes each couple happy is how it should be. My husband proposed to me at an astronomical observatory on one knee after playing his guitar for me. I have never felt so swept off my feet. We were married in front of just a few family members in a court room. Maybe not spectacular to most. But, spectacular memories were made that day... Not because of a fabulous, extravagant ceremony... But, because we were together and happy. :-)

Not every woman. I know a few with no interest in that sort of thing.

On the other hand some women are psycho about it and believe their lives won't be complete without them. Those are the ones I feel sorry for. There's so much more to life.

Some things have changed regarding that...but I think 95% of the women want to be a pride. It's what we have always known

I don't want to be a bride, a wife, a mother, or a girlfriend. The thought of marriage makes me absolutely ill. What's it good for, anyway?

It's every little girl's dream, but very few women get it all. Some women can understand that better and try to make it seem like it's not that important. Other women just aren't romantic!
