I'm all for everything this country is all about including freedom of religion. However, I think we're totally going a little too far this time. I'm going to try to take off islam from the group of freedom of religion. This makes the U.S seem all weak and submissive allowing this type of stupidity; allowing people be the same religion that has done so wrong to us. We're going to far on the meaning of freedom and we need to step back a little and take charge and responsibility for our citizens by not allowing them to practice Islam (all other religions yes; they're peaceful) I think we're getting to ridiculous do you? I'm in college and going into politics, and this is one of my goals. When I try to do this will you support me?

American citizens and soldiers worldwide have been slain one by one or in groups, for decades. This was done in the name of Allah… and most Muslims were silent… except for those who celebrated. How many embassies, ships, buses, planes, schools and businesses have been bombed in the name of Allah in the last fifty years? … And most Muslims were silent… except for those who celebrated. The twin towers fell and thousands died… and most Muslims remained silent.

Sure, a few spoke out, claiming that Islam does not condone such things… but they were drowned out by the cheers, parades and celebrations that erupted throughout the Muslim world. In 27 countries throughout the world, Muslims are engaged in Jihad, or “holy war”. In this supposed “holy war”, non-believers are butchered by the millions… and this is supposed to be the will of Allah? I’m sick and tired of the politically correct proposition that a few “bad apples” are trying to hijack Islam, and that Muslims are somehow peaceful.

A few Muslim clerics meekly claiming that these acts are wrong are nothing when compared to the celebrations, or the deafening silence of many others when it comes to the horrific actions done in the name of Allah. Nazism was started as a political party, but was hijacked by a ruthless dictator. There may have been some nice "Nazi’s" who stood quiet while terrible acts were committed in their name. As a result, calling oneself a Nazi today would announce ones compliance and indeed ones agreement with all of the atrocities committed by Nazism.

It therefore stands to reason that anyone who calls themselves a Muslim is announcing their concurrence and complicity with the millions of atrocities being committed in the name of Islam. They are saying, “I am an enemy of peace.” To most people, it is now a plain fact… there are NO PEACEFUL MUSLIMS. Muslims should consider themselves lucky that we Americans ARE peaceful. Otherwise, we would have nuked you ******* to cinders a long time ago. The rest of the world (the SANE people) really don't need Muslims around. Islam has contributed nothing but mayhem and misery to the history of mankind.

Well, why do you assume everyone is american, and that freedom is a uniquely American concept? More Americans have been killed by Christians than Muslims. How about you ban Christianity? Or how about you stop generalising? Never mind the fact that your appraisal of Islam is fundamentally flawed, you're intending to ban an entire RELIGION, the world's largest religion at that, and yet you're doing it in the name of freedom. Doublethink anyone?
Please, drop out of college. Get a job with something non-political. Please don't try to damage other people with your insane beliefs.

To reply your query sure Republicans as I do additionally feel our charter does supply freedom of faith and loose speech. However what you might have published have to imply you're a international immigrant that doesn't realise our govt. You have published legislation from the state of Arizona. They are allowed to enact such legislation that you simply appear to have a predicament with. You are not able to include your devout legislation in our land. You can nevertheless govern your faith inside its possess legislation so long as they do not clash with our govt legislation. Example: The Catholic Church which I am no longer a member of. They can kick their individuals out in their Church in the event that they violate the church legislation. If you Church has a regulation that says you'll reduce off a member's head. The enforcement of that regulation isn't allowed on this nation. You devout legislation ought to follow human rights. The best factor you might have a correct to do is kick them out of the organization.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. For one thing christianity is very male-minded... the christian right would never allow you to get into power. If you can name a "peaceful" religion that has never caused a life to be taken or ruined, I may actually join that church. Show me a believer that lives a non-material pious meek life. You need to check out the number of muslims in the world combined with the wealth and firepower their countries possess, if they were all violent horrible people... You would not be alive to write this, nor would I to read/answer it.
America.... peaceful???? HAHAHHAHAH I almost fell outta my chair. We have been slaughtering overseas nonstop since we got tired of killing american indians. Listen to NPR for a couple days would you. BTW how many "blood" diamonds do you adorn yourself with???

Muslims in general are not responsible for terrorism. Muslim extremists are. Christian extremists started the Crusades and are responsible for many other horrors throughout history. Maybe Christianity should not be allowed too...
I'm a Christian myself, so no, I'm not being serious. But stop and think for a second before you start spouting nonsense like this.

straight up, I don't believe you are serious. But on the off chance that you are, you are a disturbed young woman who has a lot of pent up anger to release. I know Muslims that don't do anything wrong, how can you justify your plan to them? You can't, so it's morally and philosophically wrong. Also practically, as you would draw more anger towards the US then there already is, putting us in more danger. Moron.

No I wouldn't support you. Sorry but I disagree with you. Freedom of religion is one of things that makes this country so great - in fact it was one of the basis for founding this nation in the first place. Yes there are radical fundamentalists in Islam, but you can find them in Xtianity as well...I'm betting radical Xtians have killed just as many if not more through out the course of history. Just look at the Inquisition.

You're not serious, are you?
Either you've taken this little joke way too far or you honestly want to criminalise a religion. You think allowing Islam makes your country seem weak? Well criminalising it would make your country seem like a land of ignorance, oppression and hatred.
It's interesting that you should bring up Nazis. You are aware that Hitler criminalised a religion, right?

Read some Christian history if you want *real* horrors!
Germany was/is a Christian nation -- how could those horrors have happened among *real* Christians? If you love your neighbor, why would you elect a monster into office and then assist in his atrocities?

You can't remove freedom from one without removing freedom from all. We do have to recognize that extremists who endanger other lives are not the majority and should be treated as criminals not because of their religion but because of their activities.
