i have little to no friends because of my family (see previous question for family details). long story short, 18 kids live in my house, plus my parents. every time i try to make friends, when they find our about my family, they drop me faster than the speed of light , and then the rumors start. i really don't know why, what's wrong with having a large family? and don't get me wrong, i love my sibs and cousins. i wouldn't traid any of them for the world. i love my family, as crazy as we are. and i'd take family over friends in a heartbeat, but that doesn't mean i don't want friends.nobody even gets to know me. if we moved into your neighborhood, would you label me as a freak, or give me a chance?

Yes, I would give you a chance, a big family sounds like fun! But when getting serious, you need to find a way to be alone with the guy, romance doesn't need that much company.

First of all, can you show me a person that's not a freak?? We are all weird in our own ways, and we shouldn't be labeled in any way. Once you find a true friend who is willing to accept you and your large family, you'll know that that friend will stick with you through anything, and that's really what we all want. We don't want a flake who will run whenever things get hard or weird.
Second of all, I think that having a large family is great!! You are never lonely, life is not dull and you have a lot of people that love you. There are not a lot of people out there that have families like that.
Remember be yourself! no matter how many family members you have, that should not signify who you are inside.

if you moved into my neighborhood i'd be your friend. I dont think having a large family makes you a freak at all. I dont think your meeting the right kind of friends. There is nothing wrong with a big family. And you have the right attitude about choosing family before friends. YOu will find friends you just need to look for the right ones. good luck.

I too come from a very large family but I was never dumped as a friend because of it. We too had our little quirks that made people stop and stare though. Huge families are wonderful....don't ever let anyone make you feel bad about yourself for it. The one good thing is that you will always have friends because you were born to them. You aren't a freak and I would give you a chance to be my friend. People today just don't like or trust anyone that is different then themselves or has a different life style then they're use to having every day. People seem to think that if others aren't like them then others must want to do something bad to them. Today's society is too stressed about things that don't make a difference in life.
I had other things that made me different from others and many people stayed away from me or said things that weren't nice about me. This changed after frustrating years went by and I found some people that liked me for who I am and for my life style.
Don't worry(easy for me to say) but..... just try to be nice to everyone and some day the right people will become your friends and accept you for who you are and what your life style is!

i would so not label you as a freak ( its great having a lot of family and I'm glad you do i only have 4 broth es and my parents but we all live together right now and i just love and enjoy been with them... i have friends that only have 1 brother or sister and they have told me of what a big family i have.. but they don't stop talking to me cause they get to know me better and they like the way i am... so if i was to know u i would talk to you and would be amaze of how big your family is and how all of you guys have been a great family..
you have a great family and i know your proud of it so don't worry about what other people tell you or what they say.. but they don't know what they are missing.. i know you'll find great friends even though you have a lot of friends now (Your family )

The only thing I see out of the ordinary would be the amount of people living under one roof. I take it there are extraordinary circumstances behind that fact? I think it makes you and your family interesting-not freakish. I don't understand why people would avoid you like the plague just because of the large family. Keep trying, someone will accept you for who you are and not for who your family is.

no one should deserve to be judge based on their family. You don't deserve to be label as a freak....no one should. However, if u been not able to find friends who can stick with u, then that tells u that they are worthy friends.....there are friends out there who are feeling the same way and just waiting for someone like u their friend. but why so many people in ur home??

I would defiantly give you a chance when you meet new people and tell them about your family they don't drop you because you are a freak they get intimidated because of your large family don't worry about it if you are getting along with your Sib's and cousins then you are in a good shape.

I would give you a chance. With the way economy is now, heck you have to live in a house with all your family. It makes it easier to pay bills and get things done becausse you all pitch in to pay the bills and stuff. You are not a freak you are a family orientated person that loves her family and her family loves her!
