i live in a super small community
most of the ppl are my cousins (really about 50%)
the references calls for a person in my community
the ppl i know are janitors/work in fast food and any other ppl don't know me well enough
i'd get a pastor to do it, but i have been so busy with school that i haven't been to church in a loooooong time
CAN I GET AN EX-TEACHER TO WRITE IT?

THESE ARE THE DIRECTIONS:
Two letterws of recommendation. one must be from a school official and another one from a member of the community (outside of your family). you can use the person reference for provided with the application or you can use your own reference form format.

i'm almost a hermit...i only know teachers that teach at the school....i'm really a nerd...can an teacher who used to teach me do this???
i believe i can really win this scholarship. it is the reference part that is kicking my butt.

When I got my references I eneded up asking everyone I knew, from elementary, middle, and high school. Old teachers, school counsulors. People i worked with in the community. If you have far cousins those would probably work to. Good Luck

Yes you can have an old teacher write the letter for you. Why would you want to go to a teacher who doesn't know you. Find a teacher that you respect and they will have no problem doing it for you once you explain what it is about. Good luck!!!

Ask a teacher if they will provide one and then ask if they have an suggestions for you. They are familiar with both you and the community you live in.

The pastor might still be a good choice if you have grown up around him.

I really think it would be fine to have a teacher do it. She's not a family member, so why not? Do you have a next door neighbor that knows you? Do what you have to to get the money honestly.
