it's internet explorer that's the problem
the AOL browser uses part of the internet explorer engine so you need to make adjustments in IE
open the control panel click on Internet options icon when the dialogue box appears click the advanced tab
near the top you see a section marked Browsing there needs to be ticks in two boxes marked "disable scrip debugging (other)" and "disable scrip debugging (internet explorer)" tick them and click apply and that should cure your problem

Try running AWC personal Free Edition software
These are functions it claims to offer

- Removing Spyware and Adware
- Preventing Security Threats
- Privacy Protection
- Fixing Registry Errors
- Temporary Files Cleanup
- Startup Cleanup
- Repairing Windows
- Speeding up System

It does all that in a single click.Good software for daily routine cleaning before closing down the pc, or at the end of browsing session

My best guess is that there is an error on AOL's website (which doesn't surprise me...) in which case there is nothing you can do about it. Also, why are you still using AOL, they have been essentially dead since the 1990s.
