my husband figured this out, their was this pan that we thought we were going to have to throw away because all the elbow grease in the world couldn't get the crud on the bottom off, well he put easy off on it and left it for 10 minutes and it wiped right off like butter! every once in awhile i have to do this and it makes things so easy, i clean it afterwards, so do you think its safe?

Depends on what the pan is made of. Most pans you can not do that with because it will ruin or begin to destroy the exterior of the pan. There are "safer" cleaners that will not destroy your pans. You should try BarKeepers Best Friend. It works great......and you can use it on your counters, stove, etc.

What have you done to your poor pots ? Soak with soapy hot water and if it doesn't work use an SOS. Still black ok use the oven cleaner rinse well and I boil some water in it after to get rid of the oven cleaner deep down.It is a mild acid so really clean the pot good after.

considering which you're washing it afterwards, confident. yet yet another element you're able to do to help with the crud interior the backside is warmth the pan, then put in a pair of drops of dish detergent and a team of water. i've got found that's great for paying for out cooked-on grease!
