Anything you would need a database for - tracking inventory, customer accounts and balances, etc.

Well, you can build a billing program for your video shop. Which I would take advantage of if I were you. See about finding some tutorials online for free through search engines, type in "access 2000 tutorial"
If you have new office like vista or xp look into the templates.

You could use MS Access to track customer accounts, inventory, movies that have been checked out, accounting information etc. As long as you didn't have to have multiple locations using the same information, you could create your entire management software package using MS Access.
