I'm arriving in New York City in April and I'm looking to buy a Nikon D40. I see it at bestbuy for $569 but I'd like to know first if anyone knows of a good camera shop in the city other than bestbuy that has competetive prices. Thank you.

My favorites are B&H Photo and Adorama...pricing is not bad, but they are not the cheapest. Their service makes up for not being the cheapest, and they have an extensive inventory of professional and consumer camera equipment for photographers at all levels.

B&H is by far the biggest and the prices are good too. Adorama isn't bad either.
