Antiviral medications given by mouth may shorten the course of the symptoms and decrease pain. The antiviral medicines work best if you take it when the virus is just starting to come back -- before you see any sores. If you the virus returns frequently, your doctor may recommend that you take the medicines all the time.

Surprisingly, the reply that I discover such a lot useful to that question is plenty extra useful than men and women are making it, no offense, however what I do (the bloodless sore will have to be long past inside part an hour) is get a cotton switch, drench it in water, then upload as so much salt as feasible till the water not absorbs it, then (and that is painful) rub it violently (do not pass nuts) in opposition to the bloodless sore.

I had a bad case of scarlet fever when I was little and I get cold sores on the sides of my mouth randomly because of it and I find that simple antibacterial oinments work best for me. Like Neosporine.

Go to www.abreva.com. Try Abreva, it worked for me. It is a little costly but it is really good.
