Their service is AWFUL....there's one near to my work and I no longer go because everytime I go I am seated but then it takes the waiter like 30 minutes to get to my table. After that they never come back to check on us to see if our food is good or if we need anything else.
I like their food but their service has gone way downhill.

It is the most inconsistent restaurant service that comes to mind. It ranges from slow and sloppy to very good. It all depends on the Restaurant Manager and how he/she trains their wait staff.
Someone told me that Olive Garden is a good training school for a wait staff. If the person is good then they go to a better class of restaurant and make much more in tips. If they are not good, they stay at Olive Garden with the mediocre service and food.

It definitely depends on the Olive Garden restaurant. All of the Olive Gardens that I have been to have been very nice, and the waiters/waitresses have been polite and attentive to what I may need.

I have been to Olive Garden many, many times. Food is always great. Service is good for the kind of restaurant it is. Staff has always been pleasant, and attentive.

hmm, i haven't been there in a while. i'd say its been different the two or three times i've gone, depending on whether the restaurant was full.
bad service on a packed night. ok service those other times.

that would depend on which one you went to since the fact of the matter is that not all olive gardens have th esame exact waitors and waitresses

Lousy for me. (But not for friends of mine!) Those never-ending breadsticks, salad, whatever? They refuse to give me a second helping! And they're so stingy with the Parm and pepper. I've actually been told I can't have anymore! And I am not a heavy eater! It's like whatever happened to the never-ending salad and breadsticks?

average. olive garden, like any restraunt, is kind of overrated. however, it depends on the neighbor you're in as with any restraunt.
