Can you get braids if u have a relaxer in your hair? If so do you have to have a retouch before you get them? And lastly, which type of synthetic hair is best to buy so you dont get split ends?
thanks :-)

You need to wait at least 2-3 weeks after getting a relaxer before putting braids in your hair. If you get braids right after you've had a relaxer, your hair is going to break really bad. Secondly, I prefer human hair over synthetic. It looks more natural.

You can definitely get braids with a relaxer. In fact, they tend to last longer than if your hair is natural, because natural hair tends to frizz faster. You don't have to retouch, but you can. If you do, wait a few weeks before you get braids. Whatever you do, make sure your hair and scalp get a good washing and conditioning before braids. Kanekalon is the type of hair I prefer, but you can also use Toyokalon, that works fine too. Good luck!

I usually wait until my relaxer is about a month and a half old before getting braids. And I purchase with Yaky or Kanekalon hair for extensions.

hope this helps......
