It depends on the caviar, but generally, I like it OK. Beluga caviar is overrated, in my opinion. My first choice would be black Sevruga for hors d'œuvres, but I prefer a red (salmon) caviar for garnishes.
And the last time I had caviar was on Christmas day, actually.

I have had White fish caviar from the great lakes. It is still to salty for my taste. Had it last spring when the fish are full of eggs for spawning

No!!! I had caviar at my cousins wedding a couple of years ago but I didnt know what it was until my mom told me. I definitely asked what strange looking food was from then on out...LOL!

If you count roe, then I'm going to have some tonight. I love sushi, and whether it's salmon roe or flying fish roe I've always loved it.
