i hope the best for you in arizona

Oh, I know how hard this can be! I've been there and it was at a very difficult time when my Grandmother was dying and I think the reason I had a hard time telling them was because I was letting myself feel guilty for leaving. Some or all of them may have a hard time with it so be prepared for whatever their response is and just support each other. Explain to them what your reasonings are...but don't be defensive...be confident! Let them know as soon as possible and ensure them that you are doing what is best for the two of you! Just try to spend as much quality time as possible before you move. My mom had a hard time with it at first (like I said, my grandmother was dying)...she had taken off work to take care of her...and after her death really needed a vacation...my mom had not been out of the state for YEARS. She took a weeks vacation and drove down for a visit and I had sent her a list of tourist sites and things to do and places to stay along the route! She thanked me and thoroughly enjoyed her much needed vacation! I wish you the best! It will all work out...even if it's in due time!

I have an aunt and cousins in Massachusetts, and I live in Arizona. You're coming out here for the really hottest summer in years.

Anyway, tell the families asap, so they have plenty of time to get used to the idea. Many married people do move away from their home states, so it shouldn't be too big a deal. Travel is not a big deal any more either. It will be okay.

You must have had a good reason to make this decision. Job? Climate? Other family? A better life for yourself? Just be honest and tell them - they will understand.
