Intra oral films are placed inside the mouth and are used to take detailed films of small areas of the mouth, the most common type of I/O is the PA (periapical).
The contents of the Io film when opened is-pale green film,on the other side of the film is a thin sheet of black paper to shield it from light and prevent damage, behind the paper is a sheet of lead foil, this absorbs any scattered radiation, all the layers are then wrapped inside a light proof wrapping!
Hope this has been of some help, are you studying for the National Exam?
