I wrote a guy that I had been seeing before for a year (casually) a note about going to Colorado this year because he wanted to go hunting. He was planning on it, telling me to look up the info, and I wrote him this email: Hey just called ya the other day to say hi, and to let you know more about Colorado if need be. But the reason was, my sister and her husband were in town last weekend for my 26th birthday and he knows certain areas for hunting in Colorado. So the info was fresh in my mind. How's everything going there? I hope the weather is nice, it's getting prettier now that spring is here. But getting back to Colorado, we'd probably be going out there anytime this fall, I don't know if you thought of my parents going or not, or it can just be me, or what you have planned, but the schedules are flexible. Keep in touch.
This is what he wrote back (& the last time I talked to him, he was taking a break from his gf):

Hey whats up? Got your email and just wanted to get back to you on the Colorado thing. Unfortunately, I will not be able to take the trip this year:( I was invited to Montana by a friend to go mule deer hunting this fall...its a trip I couldn't pass up. The fees are realitively low and he is a professional guide, so he knows what he is doing and where to go. I am taking a lot of time off work this year, so there is just not enough time or money to take anymore trips. Maybe we could try again next year?
Things are going pretty good here. The job is ok, just bidding my time for a management position. Still seeing my girlfriend and looking to purchase some land in Michigan. Anyhow, it sounds like you really have some direction and are on the right path..keep up the good work. Take care...
