I think it depends on the state. It is 12 here. You should also consider the childs maturity level. My son is 13 and has taken a babysitting course from our local youth center. Even at that, I don't allow him to babysit outside of our neighborhood or late at night because I don't feel he is ready.

There is no age to legally babysit. My daughter is 9, and she has "babysat" kids under my supervision. Are you meaning to legally babysit alone? I think it is 13, but it probably varies from state to state.

Depends on the state you live in. Where I live now you have to be 13. And and if you are under 13 you can not be left alone not even with your own brothers and sister if they are under 13

if your not related i think its 13, but as long as the person is responsible i think its OK, after 11 and it depends on the age of the child being looked after. its different though if your related . i think its more lenient if related
