In my opinion, your next step is "out-of-home" walking. Get out into the fresh air, see the neighborhood, say hi to the neighbors as you walk by. Explore the parks and cemeteries.
If you live in the city and are a bit apprehensive, find yourself a "walking partner" and do some outside exercise walking together! Having a partner will also get you out more regularly because if you have a regular routine you won't be as likely to put it off because "I just don't feel like it today" as you would be if you went by yourself.
It's a lot less BORING and you get to exercise your mind as well as your body!
My grandfather went for a walk every day and lived to the ripe old age of 95. Last time he went into the hospital (when he was about 90) the doctors said that they wished a lot of their 45 year old patients had hearts as good as his.
As one of the local Tai Chi advocates, I need to add the following:
Of course if you are looking for a slow, easy, method used by gazillions of people around the world there is:
TAI CHI
In Tai Chi the prime objective is to be in an upright position with your weight centered and at least one foot firmly planted on the ground. All motions are slow and smooth.

Keep on walking and increase your distance every day. When you get to the point where you think you can jog a little, start doing it. It is great exercise for your whole body and will provide wonderful aerobic benefit. Take you time though, don't increase your level of exercise too quickly. Make sure you're ready for it.
I have witnessed the transformation in many large people who simply went out for a morning jog every day. They have a difficult time when they first begin, but by staying with it, the weight peels away and soon jogging is not enough, they start running faster and faster with greater ease.
You can do it too!

Walking at a fast pace, exercise bike or an elliptical machine. Swimming and water-related exercising would be good as well. None of these need much coordination.
Avoid running and jumping exercises as they will put a lot of stress on your joints and back.
Good luck with the workout.

I workout to Denise Austin in the mornings. Her show is on lifetime at 7:00am (ET). Her workouts were easy enough to follow when I was first starting out and had never exercised before and even if I couldn't do the whole thing at first, I just kept at it and eventually I could do the whole half hour. It really helped me lose the 40 pounds I needed to.. Good Luck!!!

any movement you can do is good if you are that large.
However, do not take this to mean that you will be working out by lifting that lamb leg to your mouth while you sit on the couch watching desperate housewives. Although the act of lifting the leg of an animal to your maw might burn more calories than if you didn't, you are still consuming more than you need to by eating the lamb.
