ask a question on here, about something that you like. someone will respond about liking it too, voila, something you have in common. then go to their profile page, and e-mail them.
simple and easy. i have made like 7 or 8 new friends, just because of things that i have asked about, or answered.

dating sites are supposed to provide that but online stuff works only in rare occasions .. look in your surroundings - the best place to find someone

OKcupid.com has the most interesting people on there. You can tell a lot more about people by the tests they take and by their profile. It has one of the better layouts.

pick your main interest and then go to groups with that same interest if you try typing in something like skydiving chat groups or whatever your into you should be able to find ppl to talk to.
