I Know I know right to opinions and freedom of speach and all but don't you kind of wish we could like just move the entire church to Alaska? No more crazy Fred Phelps?

As a Kansasan I would prefer that we give them all a one-way ticket to Bagdad. Maybe the Iraqis can show them the "love" they deserve. Not to mention your young men and women deployed there that they like to protest funerals of here in the states

I am completely certain that the only reason Fred Phelps does anything is to cause as much pain in others as he can. Maybe he really does hate gays, maybe he doesn't (no, I don't think that he's a closet homosexual), but his actions against not just gays but many others can only be described as terrorism.

He shouldn't be deported, he should be thrown in prison. His actions are NOT protected by free speech. Expression that violates the liberty of others (such as harassment, threats, inciting riots, conspiracy, slander, forgery, copyright infringement, false news, etc) have never been free expression in this country. Forcing people who are mourning their loved ones to see and hear obscenities and compounding their grief is certainly in that same category, despite what those anti-freedom, anti-liberty, ACLU jerks say.

Ohhh those people make me so angry. And when they protest, they don't even have the guts to send men, they send all women and children. So if someone does pick a fight with them, they end up fighting with Fred Phelps' inbred grandchildren, not him. They came to our duty station to protest during our monthly remembrance ceremony a couple of times. Thank God for the Patriot Guard Riders - they showed up and had a MUCH stronger "support the troops" movement at the same time.

There's something to be said for free speech, but geez do these people take advantage of it. They hate the military, but they sure do love to exploit the rights that the military defends!

I say send 'em to Iraq or Iran, or some other place that hates our military as much as they do!

EDIT:

I agree with the guy a couple posts below me - that looks like the perfect place to send them!

Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord. And God has also said that he will hold to a higher standard those who place themselves in a position of leadership and represent the Body of Christ in such a grotesque way.

Trust me. God will have the last word with Mr. Phelps.

ps deporting to Alaska isn't really deporting since Alaska is ours. Picking a remote island somewhere might be a better bet.

Nah, I'd never do that to the people in Alaska! What did they do to deserve the WBC being dumped in their neighborhood? I say ship 'em to a deserted island in the Pacific, they can have their own version of Gilligan's Island. "You're gonna burn in hell, little buddy!" as Fred Phelps slaps his son with his cap, ala Skipper.

Phelps and his inbred bunch are only in it for the money. Ove 80% of his church is family. They have lawyers who will sue at the drop of the hat. How do you think they get the money to travel all over. In Seaford, Delaware last summer a bunch of Phelp's minions protested a miltary funeral. The locals (I grew up in Sussex County, DE...fun folks!) tried to 'do harm' to the inbreds...punched one guy in the van, broke the window as the inbreds were making a run for the border.
How to counter the UGs(uninvited guests)...join the PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS. You don't have to be a biker OR a vet, you just have to be willing to stand for those who stood for us. No membrership fee, no dues, no meetings. Check out the website, check out the photos in you state and others. Once you join, you can have access to the forums and see what is going on and being said.
The PGR started in Aug 05 by 15 American Legion members who thought what the Phelps' were doing was so very wrong. We are over 84,000 strong nationwide now.
Besides attending funerals of our military brothers and sisters (when invited), we also do welcome home missiions and farewell missions..ALL FREE. To get a local group to welcome home or say farewell to your troop, click on CONTACT US on the left side of the web site.

Click the above URL to examine the Alaska option.

Yes, Alaska has the perfect relocation place for the entire church and family.

Alaska will also keep the other options open: several other volcanos are also available in Hawaii.

Leave Alaska alone, I like the middle of the Pacific idea, only without the island.
