No religion has ever been founded by moral people.
Religions are made to herd the masses. And they've succeeded so far.
There's blood and war in every religion known to humans.

I have not been to church for the past ten years, of course I feel embarassed and ashamed in comparision to those who have, but to be frank life is too complicated to be concerning oneself with something that was not of our doing, right? I don't bind by the ideals set by organised religion, I rather detest the idea that those who have the luxury of sufficient spare time to go to church on a regular basis should wear the badge of official smugness., then there are those who don't sure, it would be nice and more practical to take the good things from each and every religion in the name of bettering oneself, but oh its easier to divide and rule...

Islam was founded by a pedophile. Catholocism has done equally shakey things. Hinduism is based on the subservience of women. Scientology is a deadly cult. Where you going with this bud?

He broke with Rome because they would not let him divorce.
For the most part the church stayed catholic with the exception of the Pope in charge. They made another office called the arch bishop of Canterbury. He permitted the divorce.
Other than that Catholicism rules.

not really...given the recent revelations of Catholic priests who over the years have sexually abused altar boys...the only concern I have is that one's religion/beliefs should live inside of each of us and not be compromised or defined by the external trappings and issues that the "messengers" of that religion may exhibit.

No, in a sense I find it amusing. I doubt there is any religion that doesn't have a few skeletons in the proverbial closet.

Jesus is the head of the church the fact henry the 8th formed the angilcan church for his own reasons does not take Jesus out of it.
in answer to your question No I look to Jesus not the queen who is now considered head of the church.

Most every religion at one point in it's history has been steeped in unpleasantness.
