Well it's good to know you don't base your self worth on what others think!! I do not think that you are ignorant- I've read a lot of things you've said and I think I even picked you as best answer a time or 2- I don't care if someone calls me a complete friekin moron because when it comes down to it anyone who judges someone based on one question- or even all the questions they've ever asked is a complete judgemental loser. If anyone who answered that read some of your answers they would know that you are not only not ignorant but you are smart and funny and compassionate and you're willing to be nice and accepting to anyone who's willing to do the same.

Resoundingly, no, you are not ignorant.
But I reviewed the answers, and I didn't find that the dominant view was that you were ignorant. I only saw that comment once. Some of the theists awkwardly tried to convince you that you were incorrect, but that's different from being ignorant.
I don't think people who put stuff like that in their responses actually consider what the words mean. It's an inordinately shallow statement and only suggests that they have no better argument or thought to share other than an ad-hominem attack.

We don't know what you don't know. You may be ignorant about the workings of a nuclear submarine but more knowledgeable than anyone else in the world about something. Being ignorant about what you don't need to know about is not a problem. Ignorance about some things on this site ARE a problem - people speaking out about the Bible or evolution without a basic understanding of their facts are wasting their time and squandering their dignity.
So as with everything, ignorance is relative.

Of course you are ignorant. Everybody is. Can you calculate the Roche limit for the moon to brake apart before it hits the earth? If not then you are ignorant about advanced astro-physics. And if you can, you are still ignorant about other aspects. There is a great deal that the most educated people in the world are ignorant about. All that word means is "not informed"
So if you are accused of being ignorant, with out any sufix to explain what you are ignorant of, then just say "mea culpa" Guilty as charged.

to respond to this question thrice an afternoon. Atheism would not recommend non non secular. no longer all religions have deities. consequently, you would be atheist and non secular and/or non secular. it incredibly is likewise a place to debate faith. Atheists come right here to ...... communicate faith. vast ask your self! then you've the actuality that the two maximum singled out communities in R&S questions, as your question proves, is atheists and christians. And if that's no longer sufficient, faith impacts our lives notwithstanding if we don't prefer it too. And if that's no longer sufficient, 3 words will certainly conceal it......."Freedom of Speech."

Overall I do not think that you are an ignorant person.
What I don't understand though is why these christians that cry all day long that us atheists are persecuting them, click on a question that specially says for atheists only just to come in here and slam you. Very christian like.

Ignorant??? That's pretty damn funny. You certainly are not ignorant.
There are a few christians who just can't understand why we, as atheists, feel the way we do. They can't grasp that most of us used to be christian and understand exactly "their" feelings and thoughts.
Just stay being who you are...you have people who love and care about you and that's really all that matters in this world. Not what a few silly, misguided christians think.

I'm an atheist myself. And I've commented in your question wishing you a "Happy No-Relevance Day". And no, I don't think you're ignorant - just stupid for asking a question that you already know that people will slam. However, as anything on this board goes, if you are entitled to your stupidity, then I am entitled to my sarcasm/nastiness/cynicism/whatchamacallit.

Ignorant means lack of knowledge. Not knowing you I have no idea what you know and what you do not know on any given subject. You might know how to fix my car, a subject that I am very ignorant on.
I can't label the container if i don't know what's inside.

I know this is for Atheists only, but since many "christians" here define anyone who is not their denomination as atheist, and I am not even christian, I will answer in that light, and say, no, I do not find you ignorant.
