Well, Yoga and pranayama are not the right anwer for you. You can see even Baba Ramdev, he himself does not have the so called six packs as he has been doing Yoga for decades together.
The mistake people make is to equate a high volume of abs training to slim waistline and well defined abdominals. The abs are going to look well only if the body-fat percentage falls. The development of abs will be visible only if if is not covered with adipose tissue. Abdominal excercise has got no significant afterburn to effect Basal Metabolic Rate and hence no effect on Fat Burn.
So, you have to concentrate well on cardios. Then do resistance training since the work out for major muscle will help you to reduce the over all fat in your body.
Hope you understood the concept of getting well defined abdomen. If not you are always welcome to write me.

It is wrongly believed that can you can lose weight only in certain parts of the body. Some areas bulge or appear more fat due to the lack of muscles. Common abdominal exercises like sit-ups, crunches and leg raises do not burn many calories. Doing these exercises helps in the toning and firming of stomach muscles. I have several suggestions for you:
Drink enough water-a lack of water makes your kidneys borrow water from your liver. This in turn impairs your liver's fat processing capacity.
Avoid eating processed foods such as dough nuts, slim jims, muffins, cakes, potato chips and so forth. These foods are good at raising your sugar level, and before you realize your insulin checks in and brings it down, and this causes you to want more and more of this stuff.Processed foods are also known for producing many elements that disrupt the energy organelles in your cells i.e mitochondria.
Thirdly, get enough sleep, and get into a regular sleeping pattern. A lack of sleep leads to the production of ghrelin which makes you hungry, and you end up eating more.Furthermore a lack of sleep also disrupts your endocrine system, which is important in the controll of many chemical processes in your body.
Fourthly, incorporate more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Most vegetables are really low on the glycemic index, and you only need to look at many African and Indian communities to see how effective vegetables are in your diet.
Lentil soup is placed really low on the glycemic index( a list that shows you the energy content of the various foods). If you ever visit an Indian store, ask them for desi or dal, and they'll understand what you are asking for. Lentil soup fills you up and the energy release is SO slow....that I always recommend it to my clients who feel the urge to eat after 7pm.
Your vegetables are important because they prevent sudden spikes in the amount of energy being released from your foods....which helps in stabilizing your insulin and metabolism.
Alot of times you definitely need to add some cinnamon or ground ginger onto your apples, celery sticks, pears and so forth. This makes a huge difference in the sense that it prevents you from being hungry. These are excellent appetite suppressants that don't have side effects.
While still on nutrition you'll also need to change the way you snack.I would focus on getting the right snacks, namely:pears, apples, carrots, jicama, macadamia nuts, cashew nuts, and all kinds of nuts. These nuts have a powerful anti inflammatory effect on reducing the amount of fat in your body.Oh! and don't forget to eat fish-its benefits are immense:)
Lastly, you need to get active. If you drive to school or work try and park your car 2 or 3 blocks from your destination, to enable you to walk the distance. If you have a yard, start doing some gardening, sweeping , work on the lawn.....you name it.
An excellent combination is performing sprints and jogs for about 3-5 minutes, taking a break and repeating the same sequence. A word of caution:don't push too hard on your sprints least you pull a muscle. You could then perform a series of body or weight training exercises one after the other
without breaks.
