You should drink your weight in ounces.

So since you weigh 145 you should drink 145oz.

You should drink at liest 8 glasses a day, & the more, the better! In your case I would say 10 galasses a day. You know you are hydrated enough when your urine is white or light yellow, you need more water when it's darker then that. (I know a few more signs like that, but I don't want to gross you out) By the time you're thirsty your'e already lost 2 glasses of water. Some symptoms of dehydration include headaches so if you have frequent headaches you should drink more water. Gatorade is NOT WATER!!! Gatorade supplies electrolites but otherwise it is not better than water, mix 2 teaspoons of salt in your water & you'll get enough electrolites.I hope this helps! So drink up!

There are a lot of misconceptions about how much water a person should consume daily, and even some of the answers here have got it incorrect. 8 glasses (8 fl oz) of water per day is the standard. This is for a person who just goes about their normal daily routine without exercising. But because you exercise you will require more than 8 glasses.

Try to weigh yourself before and after you workout. If you weigh 145 before your workout and 143 after, that means you have sweated out two pounds of water weight. Drink an additional two glasses of water for every pound of water weight you lose, so in this case 4. That would mean you would be consuming 12 glasses on that particular day.

Don't go by the drink only when your thirsty notion. Thirst is actually the beginning stages of dehydration. Also remember to have a few gulps of water before you exercise so that you don't cramp up. Also, don't be concerned if you only drink 6 or 7 glasses of water in a day. A lot of the foods you eat and non-water beverages (juice, milk, etc) are made up primarily of water. Apples for instance are made up mostly of water.

Water is extremely important because the majority of our body weight is made up of water. Also water flushes out toxins and waste materials out of our bodies when we go to the bathroom. Even muscles are made up primarily of water. So you want to ensure that you stay plenty hydrated throughout the day. Hope this answers your question!

I think one decides how much water they need to drink by how thirsty they are. I don't really go with the idea of drinking 8 -10 glasses a day
have you ever seen animals when they are thirsty
They stop and drink . they are made up of water too
something is wrong when one thinks they have to drink that much water. I think anyhow

When I am thristy I drink and I dont' calculate how much to drink either. when you are on a diet when you drink it makes you feel full.
thats the jest of it from me anyhow
Good luck

The standard is at least 48oz each day but I usually try to aim for 100. Sounds like you should too with how active you are and all.
