I wouldn't drink a pint of water like the girl above said because depending on what you are drinking it may make the alcohol kick in more. I don't know how to prevent it other than eat bread products before drinking because it will absorb the alcohol and when I have a hangover I just wake up and take a shot of whatever it was that I was drinking the day before and for some reason it helps!

The main cause of a 'hangover' is dehydration. Drink a bottle water in between drinks once or twice during the evening and that will aide with the dehydration. Alcoholic beverages that are mixed with any type of sugar drinks cause the worst hangovers. If you can stand it, drinking liquor with water is actually the best as far as not having any residual effects the next day. Wine contains alot of sugar, so, if you really enjoy wine, go with the bottle water intervals.

If you were drinking wine or sugary stuff like Daquiris then drink a cup of buttermilk and take an aspirin. If you were drinking beer, slug down hot, strong caffeinated coffee (couple cups should do). If you were drinking hard liquor drink mountain dew and eat toast, bagels or english muffins. These are the best cures you'll find!

Well drink some water first off. If you do wake up with abit of a hang over the next day try one of these two (they work for me).... V8 juce (or a can of it) or a glass of Cranberry or orange juce. You may be lacking in vitamins as well as being dehydrated. Other cure (that you can have with these choices) an advil.

whenever I drink I keep a candybar handy for when I get done.
I like 3muskateers because there's not much chewing involved. I have found that when I eat a candybar right before going to bed, I wake up feeling fine. Alcohol naturally lowers your blood sugar and by boosting it while you sober up it helps keep the nasty hangovers away.

Drink water before you go to bed and lots when you wake up. Also, you may want to try smoking a little pot the next day (if you're into that sort of thing).

Drinking water before you go to bed helps and exercise straight away when you get up, no matter how ill you feel. Anything that speeds up your heart rate & metabolism will rush that horrible feeling through your body.

Chugging a bunch of water helps you not get a hangover. When you do have a hangover, Fiji water is good to drink, there's something in it that seems to help with it. My own personal cure - smoke a big, fat joint.
