I am traveling to New York City. I used to live there before. I am coming to NYC to see to friends. However, I prefer to stay at a hotle or alike with affordable rate since I am going to be there for 10 days. Any idea cue or suggestion? Thank You All!!!

Try hotels.com. I just booked a hotel for $65/night. It is in New Jersey though which works for me because I'm flying into Newark. The hotel I got is Econolodge which is in Elizabeth, NJ about 0.5 mile from Newark airport. They have free shuttle to and from the hotel to the airport. To get a decent hotel in NYC, you have to spend atleast $180 a night

You might be better off looking in New Jersey or Westchester or Rockland - if for no other reason than the cheap places in the city are just GROSS.

not any decent ones. try secaucus, nj - just a bus ride through the lincoln tunnel will get you to the nyc subway.
