I'm a new Catholic and I would beg you please PLEASE don't leave the Church. I've met a lot of cradle Catholics who take their faith for granted because they've had it all their lives, which in some way I can understand, but honestly you cannot appreciate what you have until you've lost it. The Faith and the Spirit we have in the Church is something I can't do without.
When I was a protestant, I went through the merry-go-round of trying to find the "right church for me". Nothing but headache, nothing but loneliness. You don't want to put yourself through that. One question I've asked protestants, and one you should consider if you're going to be protestant, is who has it right? If the Catholic Church is so wrong, then where to I go? There are thousands of different protestant denominations out there each spending their Sundays preaching about how they have it right and everyone else has it wrong. The baptist will tell me he knows the correct teachings, but a Methodist down the road will insist that it's him, not the baptist. Next thing, I'll have a non-denominational tell me both the baptist and the Methodist missed it - I should go with him. See my point?
Do yourself a favor and sit down and examine yourself. What is it that you feel is missing? Go to God in prayer, move closer to His Church. This is the way to go.
God bless.

I am responding b/c I am a Christian and I hope to help. I do, as a matter of coincidence, happen to be a minister currently serving in a Baptist church. But that's not important.
What is important is what you place your faith in. Faith is only as good as the object in which you place it. What I mean is that Jesus Christ offers total forgiveness, protection, and direction for how to live life. But we must trust in what He did for us (dying and being raised) and know that in His sacrifice we have eternal life and an eternal relationship with God thru His Son.
When we enter that relationship with God we never "fall away" again. There may be times when you feel distant from God, but the reality is He lives within us from that point on.
I don't know if you've confessed Christ as your savior, but I would say a good place to start is by reading His word. Maybe starting with the gospel of John and really taking time to understand the things that Jesus says about himself. I hope that helps you. Feel free to contact me.

I hope you still remember praying the Holy Rosary. Start with that. You have a loving Mother who is watching out for you and waiting for you to come back to Her Son and the Catholic church. A good website to look at will be :
http://www.fatima.org/
Also if possible get a brown scapular of Carmel. Get one blessed by a priest. You dont have to bless the subsequent ones you wear. Wear one round your neck and under your clothes. Please dont consider leaving the Catholic church which is the 'only ark of salvation'.The following link with interesting articles.will enlighten you as to why the Catholic faith is the only means of salvation.

All the best and hope you are comforted.

First of all, pray to God and ask Him to come back into your life and help you. Then, look for a church that teaches the bible such as Calvary Chapel for example. Billy Graham's website is very helpful as well as Family.org. They will take phone calls and are ready to pray with you and help you.

I hate to say this but "getting God back in your life" wont cut it.There is a way you can have him for all eternity. You must admit that you're a sinner and repent of those sins. You must confess that Christ is Lord and you must tell him that you are a sinner and that you accept him as lord.

I trust that you have fallen from" religion" but not from your strong faith and love for the Lord....right...?
Our relationship with the Lord is the most important think for believers.
You could explore other denominations, or my personal favorite, non-denominational bible believing church.
God bless you as you walk this road to a closer walk with him

It is Divine Faith alone by which we give honor and glory to God, by which we adore His infinite wisdom and veracity. That adoration and worship is necessary for salvation.
