I would like to take my vitamins and other OTC's in a day-pill pack for a week's trip to Europe. Will TSA allow this or does each pill have to be in its original container. I know they require prescriptions to be in their containers with my name and stuff, but what about otc's?

Actually, they do not require that you have prescriptions in their original containers. I just got back and I put all of my pills in one jar to save space and it was no problem.

Here is a link to TSA and a Quote
http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds/editorial_1059.shtm

"Non-liquid or gel medications of all kinds such as solid pills, or inhalers are allowed through the security checkpoint once they have been screened. We recommend, but do not require, that your medications be labeled to assist with the screening process."

I would, however, recommend that if you have narcotics, they come in the original package with prescription.

Over the counter and vitamins need no special consideration.

If they are not prescription drugs it's fine. As long as it's properly packed and labeled.
