hope this helps.
additional:
chow chow chicken - my dogs love this!
Chow Chow Chicken
- 2 chicken thighs -- or white meat
- 1 stalk celery -- sliced thick
- 3 carrot -- peeled and halved
- 2 small potato --peeled and cubed
- 2 cups rice -- uncooked
Place chicken pieces in large pot. Cover with cold
water (5 -6 cups). Add carrots, celery, and potatoes
to water. Add salt to taste if you want. Cover and
simmer on low heat about 2 hours until the chicken
becomes tender. Add the rice, cover and cook over low
heat for about 30 minutes until the rice is tender and
most of the liquid is absorbed. Remove soup from heat.
Pull the chicken meat off the bone ( if will
practically fall off), discard bones. Return shredded
pieces to pot. Stir well. Let cool. Store in the
refrigerator or freeze.

Sorry this isn`t dogfood but you don`t have to worry about your dog getting sick from these treats. My dog & her friends love these - Homemade Dog Biscuits: 1 c. dry oatmeal, 2 c. Flour , 1 tbsp. brown sugar, 1 Boullion cube chicken or beef, 1/2 c. hot water add to boullion, 1tbsp canola oil, 1 egg beaten. Mix dry ingredients(add a little garlic powder to the mix, its supposed to deter fleas) then the rest of ingredients to make a dough. Divide in half roll out like cookie dough and cut with whatever shape cookie cutters desired. Place on ungreased cookie sheet bake @ 325 about 45 mins. to an hour (til hard to the touch).

Boil rice, veges like pumpkin (skinned and sliced) and minced chicken/ whatever meat source you're comfortable feeding your dog. It's really quick in a pressure cooker and my dog loves the soft mushy texture coz he gobbles it up.
You can also add an egg/ other protein source instead of meat and alternate.

We mix ground meat and rice for my dog...she loves it. Her stomach can't handle regualr dogfood anymore and the vet reccommended this because it's easier on their stomachs.
