Because I have this guy I want to ask out because I think he's too chicken? Should I. It's kind of weird though because we've known each other by face for like 2 years, but we haven't done anything. Should I ask him to have a coffee or a movie?

Yes, you most definitely should. There may be a number of reasons why he hasn't asked you yet, one of them being he doesn't know you like him back. I would feel extremely flattered and honored if a girl were to ask me out. I just love it when every now and then a woman breaks tradition and does something bold and innovative! Go for it!
