How to set up an email in Microsoft Outlook?

I tried setting up my email account with bellsouth, yahoo and hotmail. None worked. So i really need help! Its outlook 2003. (not outlook express)

If u answer my question then THANK U THANK U THANK U!!!!!!!!! U dnt kno how long i have been trying 2 do this!

First off, the email account you want to use with Outlook must be POP3 enabled. Hotmail is not withouth some sort of premium package, I don't know about Yahoo, but your BellSouth account should be.

You'll need to know the following items:

1. Incoming SMTP server
2. Outgoing SMTP server
3. Account username
4. Account password

You should be able to get this information from the Bellsouth website (minus the username / password) or from their support.

Then, read a tutuorial on configuring Outlook to work with a POP3 account.

In Yahoo, what you're trying to do is called POP3 forwarding. In order to set that up, you need to pay an annual fee. I would assume the same applies for Hotmail, or for any other web-based e-mail. And with any of them, I'd imagine that once you sign up for POP3 forwarding, they'll give you instructions for how to set your Outlook up to get your mail.

For BellSouth, you need to visit their website, or give them a call, and find out the information that you need to put into Outlook.

u should know u can't access to ur emails from outlook r using yahoo. becuase it doesn't allow u to access to POP3.
and if u wanna set it for using google email program, u can download a program from google. it sets up outlook automatically.
