In our company, the top paid engineers earn well over 150,000 per year, including the subsidized portion of their 401's The entry levels after 2 years earn 86,000 and there are comparitive levels in between.

You cannot find experienced good Engineers anymore. The engineers I know have gone into businesses and for themselves and seem to have gotten rich or something and dont want working for any company. I presume also as a percentage of population Engineering enrolment is way down, but im not sure on that.
