Her anal glands are clogged, they usually get clear after a bowel movement but some dogs have a problem with this, my dog has this problem, i have a 7 month old Maltese, my vet said that if they get clogged, it could be serious so i have to actually squeeze around her butt to pop them and the mucus comes out. it is pretty gross bc there is such a foul smell but it is less expensive than bringing her to the vet every week. Some dogs just have this problem, my vet said she could have surgery to remove them. Their only purpose is for the scent, that is why other dogs sniff other dogs butts. Hope this helps but I am pretty positive this is her problem, if my dogs glands get too full i notice the green stuff leaking too.

I wanted to say that it may be something that she ate BUT you REALLY should call your vet. Even if you don't have one, just look in the phone book and call one up. Tell them what's going on and they'll tell you whether you need to worry or not and what to do. You would really hate yourself if you let it go and she dies. Better safe than sorry. Please call a vet and at least find out from a professional. Good Luck!!

Take your dog to the vet NOW!! First of all she needs her glands cleaned and second of all it sounds like she either ate something bad or she might have an infection. That is NOT normal and she needs medicine immediately.

Check with your doctor and also you might need to put vit. b with the c add. in it. Being green it is very much infected, the c is a cleaning agent for toxens, could be your dog ate to much green for St patrics day to. Bottom line check with your vet.

Sounds like she might have eaten grass or other plants. Call a vet though for advice and describe everything as it is. No need to rush to the vet like a little puss, as all these other psychos seem to do. Watch her other health actions. If the vet says to come in, then go in.

You should be asking the vet, not us. Take her in ASAP. Sounds like it's definitely not something routine.

Yahoo answers is not a free vet service. If you have any feelings for your dog, for God's sake take it to a vet.
