none. most shops aren't charging for the design but for the work that goes into actually tattooing the design on your body.
my artists charges by the hour whether i bring him a design (which i never do) or whether he creates a custom piece (which he always does). most artists charge for their time and the equipment and not for the actual picture on the piece of paper.

It really doesn't matter if you draw the art or if you find it in a book somewhere. The artist still has to trace it onto a stencil and put it on your skin and draw over it. Essentially you are being charged for the artist's time and level of skill - and at whatever rate the artist so chooses.

Each shop and each artist is different, so there is no definite price for any piece of work either.

Usually doesnt matter who draws it because they have to charge you based on the size and the details involved. All parlors charge varying prices for the same tattoo because its business. I got $10 off my tattoo price because I told them I could charge $200 on my credit card or pay cash $190 and they took the cash eventhough it was less. Its not about the money when you get a tattoo, spend it all if necessary to get a clean and nice one because you will have it for a long time.

Usually none, though it can be cheaper because some places can request a deposit or even a small fee for the time spent for them to draw the picture.

No matter what its probably not going to be cheaper because whether they drew it or you, its still going to take X amount of time and supplies to get it done.

It varies. Some palces charge you for drawing something up, others do not. Best bet is to ask the artist for a quote, which varies depending on size and location. if you come with something prepared and tell them SPECIFICALLY 'This is what I want, JUST LIKE THIS", you shouldn't be charged any extra.
