Do they need to put a deposit down and do tux places only have a certain amount to rent per day?

The sooner the better. Call or visit the place you want to rent them from. See what their policy is and get particulars in writing. Make sure you get their deposit/refund policy in writing also. Make the reservation now, pay the deposit when necessary. Then make follow-up calls, one around
June and another around August and then double-check for fitting around end of August.

One reason for doing it so soon, you are correct, they only have a certain number of tuxes available at any given time. You never know how many other events are going on in that same month. There may be a large community charity fund raiser or something, that might cause tuxes to be in demand for that weekend.

I rented mine nine months in advance, because I was getting married in June, the most popular month for weddings. Rule of thumb is, reserve the tuxes six months before the wedding.

The wedding was on a Saturday, we picked up our tuxes on Thursday night, and they were returned on Sunday (the best man normally returns the groom's tux). Some places require a deposit, and some don't.

How much will you pay to rent one? Typically $80-$100. Since I thought that was an outrage, I made sure that none of my groomsmen or other party members needing tuxes paid more than $50.

By the way, did you know that you can own your own tux for under $200? The only advantage of the rental is to get them to match.

you have to at least give room for alterations. even if the tux is rented sometimes the have to make alterations on them before the big day. I would say around 8 weeks before the wedding. Congratulations. Good Luck!
