It's pretty. I guess these people on here think because she may be black you should change things up a bit and name her Ivory! Anyway even if ur black it's not like ur naming ur baby Godiva Ciocolata! lol
Now that I can't make up, I saw it in this cute baby contest!
Now that's just wrong!
Don't listen to these people! When you see her and if it fits, use it! It's ur baby anyway!
What's gonna be her middle name?

Suprisingly I think it's not that bad. I'm very cynical about names which aren't that common but Ebony sounds pretty good. Well done and have a star for not using a name like vabluiralb which looks like some of the names people use now.

No do not name her that , im sure you are proud to be black and thats all good, but yes that name is over used and is to stereotyped, I am white but maybe my white view maybe will make sense maybe not, I had a black fiancee for 3 years prior so please dont read things into what im saying that are just not there. I think a child grows into their name and perhaps even sets their personality up for the rest of there life. Don't name her some silly name like yolonda, shaquita, go with a pretty name thats not racial at all meaning if someone hears the name they wont know if she's black white asain etc,,, I like the name Hally, but it's up to you, my wife is Asain so I kinda like the name asia , yes thats stereotypical but we do not live in asia, but at the same time give her a beautiful name without makeing it ethnic, good luck and God bless,ps if you wanna give her a really powerful name how about Eve.

I'm sorry, but if the child is african american I think that it is a very cruel name to give her. She will be discriminated against before people even meet her. (sure, go on with the thumbs down, I'm just being realistic) It right up there with naming a little african american girl Arian (Sp?)(as in Arian Nation).
You don't see what the meaning of the name matters? Why not name the child Ovary or Meconium then? The meaning of a name means a great deal, especially when it is a commonly used word.

I think it is way over used.
Why go with a cliche?
Its kinda like if I named my kid : Joe.
Fine name, but very boring and unoriginal.
