Ok, the breaking strain of the line doesn't really come into it. The diameter of he line is what really counts.

The 5010 baitrunner is quite a lightweight baitrunner and should really be used with lighter lines - 4lb to 10lb breaking strain. It's better suited for barbel/tench fishing. It will probably hold around 180metres of 0.25mm line.

18lb or 25lb line is rather heavy for fishing in the UK and if your looking for a heavy duty reel then you should be looking at getting a large "big-pit" reel with bigger capacity.

If you want to maximise the amount of line you want on the reel (I suspect you're looking at long distance casting) then try and source a lower diameter line or better still, use braided line.

You should wind the line on until it is about 2mm below the lip of the spool. This gives you optimum casting without suffering from line peeling off the spool in windy conditions.

Don't have an equation for ya', but if this be a spinning reel (which I'm sure it is), then it should be printed on the side of the spool what line capacities are. By using these specs you should be able to figure out what she'll take, even if the # test your wantin' to use is not listed. I don't think that this model is still produced by Shimano, soooooo you might want to go on ebay and see if you can find out thru a seller (if this particular model is listed) and they can assist ya'? Hope this helped...
Just checked with a gal that has one and specs read, (lb-yards) 10-240, 12-195, 14-165 and 16-140 so my guess is around (usin' 25 # test) 100 yards?? You could use a backing (smaller pound test at start of spool, tied to your 25lb test), but this of course depends on the fish your goin' for.
