When they go in do they need to put a deposit down? Do they only have a certain amount of tuxes per day to rent?

I'm getting married on May 5th and we went in 2 months in advance to set up our account and get everyone measured and the guy said "Good thing you're doing this this now, because it's prom season and many sizes and styles will be grabbed up quick!"

I'm not sure how it works, but I think they order them in from some larger wearhouse, so if the wearhouse runs out of your sizes/style for that day, you'd be out of luck.

I don't think you can be too EARLY. So I'd suggest doing it as soon as you can.

Congrats =)

It depends on what time of year the wedding is. If it is during "prom season" you probably need at LEAST a month in advance. During the summer a lot of people get married so maybe 3-5 weeks. Any other time of year 2 weeks or so is usually enough time. Often the tux shop will have a larger selection in a warehouse which is located somewhere else, so they have many tuxes available to rent at a time. You usually have to put down a deposit, but it can be a really small ammount. I've been in several weddings and 2 proms..it only takes about 30 minutes to pick out, try on , and reserve the tux.
