months and see what happens claiming if I want them pulled it will be easier then (as they are all finally out of the gum and now falling into place), or just have them filled and leave them in. This was a dental surgeon but Ive always thought they should always be taken out and cant the cavities get worse and cause major problems in 6 months?

if your cavities are not very big, they are not going to get a LOT bigger in 6 months, but in a same time teeth will grow a lot while you waiting.
I guess his logic is to make your extraction less traumatic for you by waiting a bit.

It all depends on the size of the cavities. Get second opinion.

Yes, they can get worse... are you able to get a second opinion?

I found this out when I was living in Japan and my wisdom tooth had a cavity in it. It got progressively worse until the pain was so bad, I was thinking of knocking it out (like Tom Hanks in "Castaway") and crying all the time. Finally I was able to see a dentist and when he took it out and showed me, I couldn't believe it. There was literally a black rotted hole that had eaten away about 1/4 of the tooth. Blech.

In my opinion, don't wait (or pay to get them filled). Having them all pulled at once isn't fun, you'll be uncomfortable for a few days, but after that you'll be free of those infected teeth and can even reach the teeth in front of them a lot better with the toothbrush. Good luck!

get a second opinion. If they are infected they need to get the infection under control and then pull. Waititng isnt an option as those cavities can spread elsewhere or lead to a massive infection which is no fun.

in case you have decay in all 4 of your expertise tooth, i will surmise 2 issues: -some area of each the tooth is already erupted completely in the process the bone and -you're having concern protecting them sparkling. i don't comprehend what your dentist observed that made him say wait 6 months, yet once you're worried approximately his suggestion, get a 2d opinion. it incredibly is mostly a marvelous thought with expertise the tooth extraction besides. good success!

Get a second oppinion. Some dentists drag out what needs to be done so they can rob your pocket of more money not caring for your discomfort. I know, I have been there. I lost my teeth because of a dentist who wanted more money instead of doing his job. Please, remember the old saying, when in doubt get another oppinion.
