Maybe because they're brought up not to be doormats! I don't think anybody controls anyone - but women aren't the submissive creatures of yesteryear. We have brains and can think for ourselves, which is something many men from other countries and cultures find frightening.

all women in general have the ability to control men, if they so chose to and have the confidence......It.s simple anatomy, women have what men want....and a confident women can make a man work for it if she wants.... Is it right? Some women take it to the extreme, and I have seen men fall all over themselves, buy women anything they want just to get her favor......but hey if you got it, you got it.......but I also think that's why there are cultures out there that control women because of the power that they possess....that's why some men beat women, and treat them so horribly and why there are so many men who kill women, because women have that power over men...consume them, and some men get freaky about it, and can not handle it......

A lot of western countries (Western Europe, North America, and parts of South America) have evolved to the point were we recognize women as equals. There are still cultures that believe women to be second-class citizens compared to men, and while I believe they are wrong, that is their culture.

Its because in UK there is very rainy/gloomy weather. So there is nowhere really that women are exposed. So hence if men want to see a women exposed then they need to listen to her.
