Absolutely.
And not for the baby, but for yourself. However, just because you forgive her, it does not mean she forgives you. Still, you should not carry resentfullness in your heart while caring for a child.

That is a tough one. When a parent disowns a child, there are definitely some issues to resolve. The bigger question is why did she disown you and is she willing to forgive herself? If there is friction between you and your mother the child will suffer. Good luck to you.

God says to forgive. So yes. Forgive! Jesus forgives everyone of their sins, no matter what they did, as long as they go and seek Him. Forgive your mother and let her know that you love her even if she doesn't seem to love you, and if you don't think that will work go to her and tell her that you don't want to be on a bad foot when you have a baby. Let her know how you feel!

You need to stop and think about what kinds of feelings she has brought to you in your life. Now, once you really FEEL the feelings, would you really want to put your own child through it? More than likely NOT!
Honey, if she's a bad mom, what would make you think she'd be a good granny? She won't be!!
I'm not sure too many women can "dislike" their children. The ones who do, have to have a drug or alcohol problem.
Think really deep before forgiving her for not being a good mom.

Willing, every child should have the chance to know their grandparents. As long as you put yourself out there, let your mother know you're willing to forgive her and want her to have a part in your child's life, you can't go wrong. If it backfires and your mother doesn't want anything to do with you, Hey, you tried.

A real mother would never disown her own flesh and blood. I think you need to talk to her and find out what her problem is and if you can repair the relationship you should for yourself not for your baby.
