how do i get my videos from my camcorder onto the computer?

i just bought a camcorder because i wanted to shoout footage and make movies (i'm 15, not some pro)this is the camera i got:

i have everything in came with and miniDV tapes.
please help, this camera does me no good if i can't get the videos i shoot onto windows movie maker. thanks!!!!

i hooked the cable up but nothing happened. the users manual only says how to transfer pictures to the computer. i think i need a card. can i transfer stuff if i use a tape?

Hi Honey,
You should have a Cable that connects from the Camcorder to the Computer.
When you use this cable you can transfer the content on the camera to a place in your computer where you can access it with your Movie Maker.
Check your Contents and see if the cord is there.
You should also have a users manual to tell you how to make that work for you.
