So i don't have money to go to a gym so I decided I should start doing cardio. I think running should be okay if I want to loose weight. Is that true? and if it is how many miles should I start with? Any experts out there please help me?

Running is good cardio exercise, but as far as burning calories... not so good :(. I know, I was surprised too... but it seems your body quickly adjusts to the muscle exertion of running and doesn't expend much energy. Your best bet to lose weight is to join a gym with good cardio equipment (ellyptical, rowing machine, stair climber, etc) if you're wanting to shed pounds.

Good luck in your fitness goals and best wishes!

YES! Running is a great way to loose weight. If you can do 30 minutes of running non stop or 45-60 minutes of running/walking you will see quick results. You need to do cardio 5-6 days a week.

First of all, you want to LOSE weight, not loose weight. Loose is how your pants will feel once you LOSE the weight.

And yes, running is fine. I wouldn't push myself too hard at first if I were you. Try jogging for 5-10 minutes and walking for that same amount, alternating back and forth. Then, as you become more fit, you can add more jogging time.

Well if you want to lose weight it would have to be a pretty fast pace. Lot of people try to be pc and state run at your own pace but being consistent with running at a faxt pace will bring results. That slow pace stuff is good for cardio. Try swimming as well.

Yes. running does help in loosing weight. but since you are just starting,it is adviced that you should start with brisk walking for at least 30 min daily. then gradually on weekly basis you can increase your walking time. and finally when you have built up enough stamina you may start jogging and running.

yes, running does reduce weight. running exercises your lower abdomen and helps you to loose weight. 20 minutes running per day must be ok. You could even try fast cycling

I don't know about the amount of time you should spend doing it, but I've heard that running is the BEST natural and healthy way to lose weight. You're keeping your heart healthy too. Good luck!
