We have been together for just over a year, in the past (maybe 4-6 months ago) I have told him twice I loved him and he just gave me a small/nervous laugh back. I really feel like he loves me and is just nervous to say it and talk about his feelings, so I've been patient trying to let things play out naturally, but I don't want to waste my time with a guy who doesn't feel the same way about me, but I don't want to lose him either. Wouldn't a guy know after a year how he feels about someone? And don't I have a right to know after a year how he feels about me? Do I just come out and ask him straight up what he wants from me? I'm tired of waiting....

Also, he is 33 and I am 25, so it's not like we're young and stupid...

A Year ? ask him, demand it from him. And if he continues to shuffle his feet,......Tell him to shuffle on down the road.

Guys don't easily say they love you - especially if they are youngish. Saying "I love you" just feels weird to a guy at first.
You should talk to him about what he thinks his future will be - without the relationship aspect being mentioned. If he has firm plans to move far away or to travel the world or to join the military or the peace corp he will most likely do that without you.
If he has no firm plans (very reasonable for most people) then begin to talk in a relationship mode. Does he call you a "girlfriend" in front of old friends or relatives?
If you have not had sex - then you should hurry up and get that out of the way. If he dumps you after porking you a few times then you have a better answer.

say i love you to him again and when he doesnt answer back, later that day say this...

why is it that one person in a relationship has stronger feelings than the other, then hell be like what do u mean, and say well i have stronger feelings than you do, and at that point he will tell you either i love you too or i dont feel that way

if he says nothing, im sorry but theres something wring with him

Yes he should be able to put his feelings into words after a year (whether or not he "loves" you).. You should ask him. You have to put yourself out there..if you are ready to move the relationship along then ask... or else you are just wasting your time
