The general North American industry and medical standard is 5 1/2 US oz (180ml); there are a little more than four of them from a standard 750ml bottle.

In much of Europe there is a different standard size for wine at a cafe or bar: 100ml (about 3 1/3 US oz).

There are just over four glasses, approximately a 6 ounce pour. 750ml is about 25 ounces (it is the metric equivalent of a fifth of a gallon, a size which varying bottles of alcohol from wine to whiskey are sold). That's what you normally get in a restaurant.

Bars, on the other hand, typically pour a five ounce glass... so you'd get five glasses.

Its four.

However if you were at my house it would only be two glasses per bottle. Or even one if I get the big boy wine glasses out.

when I am pouring at wine events in napa at copia we get four 5 oz pours from one bottle of 750ml wine.

We do not normally call them glasses because you can use various wine glasses. we usually refer to the serving as a pour.

a unit is 125ml so there are six units in a standard strength bottle of wine. however try to stick to lower % as once you get in to the 13-14% THEN THERE ARE MORE UNTIS PER GLASS.
