I have been single for less than a month, and I was pretty hurt over my breakup. Then, two weeks ago, this guy I had a crush on for a long time expressed interest in me. Now we've been hanging out a ton and I am really getting to know him.

He is so freakin sweet and fun and I am very attracted to him. It's all mutual too, but I am wondering if these feelings are real or it's just a rebound? Is there any way to tell the difference for certain?

Until you figure it out, please be honest with this guy about your doubts. He sounds very nice and you don't want him to get hurt. Let him know you are in a very vulnerable place right now and he should proceed with caution!

Time. A "mended" heart takes about as long as the years one has been together with someone before a breakup. "Rebounding," comes to try to "fill" up that "gap" left a person misses of not having the other person around. I should know, I have had "4" marriages, this last one lasting over 22 years. The second and third were on the "rebound."

I just went through the same thing. I left a man of an 18 year relationship and found someone so special. I truly believe I am in love with him and he says the same about me. We are on the same page about everything and we communicate. communication is key. All I can say is follow your gut. Mine said go for it and I am. If by some chance it doesn't work out I will thank GOD for the time I had with him. Good Luck.
