I blame my lack of social skills on being an only child. Do you?

My husband is an only child and we are now discussing having kids. I only want one. He went on and on about how it was harder making friends when you're the only child and how in large groups he doesn't talk cause he doesn't know what to say and he blames all of it on being the only child.

Yes I blame your lack of social skills on that as well. In the meantime, I am very socially well adjusted.

I wouldn't say I lack social skills, but I do think I am somewhat more antisocial than someone who has siblings. It's harder for me to become close to people because I'm used to being by myself. Also, I've noticed that it has really affected my ability to interact with children. I dislike children because I don't have any experience talking with or being around them and it makes me feel really uncomfortable.

But im working on it cause i no i cant let that affect the way i am with people 4 the rest of my life cause im "an only child"

yes because you cant talk 2 ur parents that well so you turn 2 ur bruvs and sis im the only child 2 and i joined a community centre coz im lonely and i have a lot of friends and i call them my sis and bros coz i wnat 1 so much bt its never gonna happen. hope i helped.

I have social anxiety disorder and I know it is because i never had to interact with other kids my age growing up
