You can download the Powerpoint Viewer from Microsoft. It's free at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=428d5727-43ab-4f24-90b7-a94784af71a4&displaylang=en
As the name suggests, it's only a viewer. You cannot create Powerpoint presentations with it. The full version of Powerpoint is not free. You might try OpenOffice. It is very good and free. You can create Powerpoint compatible files as well as other Microsoft application files (Word, Excel, etc.). www.openoffice.org

Power point is a microsoft application that is bundeled with Microsoft office. It does cost money and is kind of hard to pirate. You can go to openoffice.org for a free version(of most microsoft software) that is compatible with Powerpoint(meaning you can creat the file in openoffice and then open it with powerpoint later if needed).

PowerPoint is not free and cannot be downloaded. And please do not try to get it through bittorrent, or someplace like that. You will get an illegal version that cannot be registered, and you will probably also get a virus, most certainly you will get spyware.
There is a suite of free office products called OpenOffice. It has a presentation program like PowerPoint and its documents are interchangeable with Microsoft office products.

Buy it (probably as part of MS Office). Insert the disc. Follow the prompts.
It is not free (and downloading it from torrent sites is illegal in most jurisdictions)
OpenOffice.org, however, is free, and the Impress component of it is largely compatible.

It is part of Microsoft Office, and no, it's not free. You can download it (illegally), but it's probably forbidden to tell you how.
It was probably pre-installed on your pc, and maybe you still have an installation disk of it somewhere.
