It's a dachshund/maltese mix - a mutt. There's nothing wrong with that!
The whole "-tese" and "-poo" thing is a way for pet stores and irresponsible breeders to make people think they are getting a special breed or just something cutesy. Then they mark the price up about $200.

Mutt would be one word for it, heinz 57 another, mixed breed will fit the bill too. Whatever you want to call it, the truth is that if it's not a pure bred dog, it's one of the above.

It's called a mutt. It's not a breed, it's a cross between two breeds.

It's a mixed breed. Anyone can make up a fancy name for it but it's still just a mixed breed.

That is because it is not an actual breed. It is a mix breed, she just gave it a combination name.

There is nothing wrong with calling it a mutt. Just call it a Dachsund mix or a maltese mix, call it whatever you want, it's your dog

I have a mini dachshund. They are so cute. There probably isn't a breed named for that mix.
