They are Catholics & used to support the IRA.

Celtic are a Scottish club formed to help poor Irish immigrant families in Glasgow, they suffered great indignity and suffered at the hands of the British land owners in Ireland, so it would be a bit of a bad move waving a Union Jack in Paradise considering the history of the club.
C'mon the Albion (Stirling that is!!)
Hardly any clubs in the UK really fly the Union Jack as much as Rangers, alot of the English clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United choose to fly the St Georges cross, especially in European competition.

I'm a Celtic fan with no allegiance to Ireland at all. But when have you ever seen 2 Scotland flags the same shade of blue? Thanks Connor. I'm not insinuating any of the colours are an accident. I would say it is orange too, but then I would say that Dundee Utd play in orange and that oranges and tangerines are the exact same colour. Eck - I have no idea what you are reading into my answer. I couldn't care less what colour a foreign country's flag is. Maybe I'm not reading the question right. Is the question about the colour or what the colour is called?

Who cares? It is a fact that there are more English people that want nothing to do with the Scots, than the other way round.
If we were free of them, the city would not have to send £5bn pounds to Scotland each year.
We wouldn't have to bother about which Scottish clubs did, or didn't fly our flag.

Where do you get your information from? Wherever it was you have been misinformed! I think you should have asked (especially in the SCOTTISH Football Section)...
Why are Rangers the ONLY club to fly the Union Flag?

It's the wrong colours. If the union flag (the union jack is only flown on ships) was green and white do you think it would be flown at ibrox

Being a largely catholic club ,why would they want to fly the **** rag called the union jack.Since catholics cant ever ascend to the throne why should they fly a sectarian bigoted emblem,it also represents 800 yrs of oppression and brutality towards the INDIGENOUS {there's a new word for all you backward huns} population of Ireland.

Celtic are catholic, and therefore forever tied with Ireland. The Irish have a historic hatred of England - hence the 'banter' with Rangers, Battle of the Boyne, Orange order etc etc. Also explains the flying of the Irish Tricolour rather than Union Jack

Because Celtic fans are mostly Catholics.
In Ireland, most Catholics don't want to be part of Britain anymore, so they hate the Union Flag.
